Challenges:
- The CLS website contained many static pages that were updated by hand. This limited the client’s ability to keep the website updated with new content.
- The website’s overall look and feel was in need of an updated fresh look.
- The new website requirements included:
- A modern look and feel that represents CLS’s breadth of clients and projects.
- Scalability to allow the client to add and edit new client portfolios and projects easily.
- Ability for potential employees to apply for jobs and submit their resumes, cover letters and writing samples online while allowing CLS staff to collect and mine this information easily through a backend tool.
- A project intranet allowing CLS staff and their client to share documents with back and forth with one another.
Solution:
- Created an attractive, modern, easily navigable website.
- Created a flash piece on the homepage to convey CLS’s caliber of clients and extent of services.
- Implemented a Content Management System that allows CLS staff to easily update and add content on the website without the need for HTML or FTP knowledge.
- Created an online form to allow users to submit their resumes, cover letters and writing samples. Through a backend admin tool, CLS is able to retrieve these submissions and follow up on them.
- Created a front end interface for CLS clients to share documents with various CLS staff on certain projects. Through a backend admin tool, CLS is able to retrieve and add documents to share with clients.

January 2012 -- Charm City Run updates its site to include new Baltimore location. This site-wide project included refreshing header images with photos of customers and events, expanding the site navigation to include a new resources section, and enhancing ways for customers to interact through Charm City Run's many social media channels.
October 2011 -- Society for Developmental Biology launches SDB Collaborative
Resources (CoRe), an online reference database of peer-reviewed images,
movies, and diagrams for learning and teaching developmental biology.
September 2011 -- Millmark launches site for ConceptLinks Inquiry, a subscription-based online curriculum targeted at earth, life, and physical science concepts for grades 2-8.
September 2011 -- The 2012 International Builders’ Show website launches, unveiling the 2012 design and new tools for highlighting community sponsorships, special show events, and featured exhibitors. The site also includes expanded interactive features for attendees and exhibitors, including polls, logistics management tools, and social media.
August 2011 -- Modern Signal awarded contract to rebrand, redesign and develop new phase of PSLawnet.org, a comprehensive directory of legal public sectors jobs postings.
